Ambassadors for
Christ to be His
Hands and feet
Have you ever sat down and thought what did I do for Christ today? Can you count them on one hand or maybe even two? Did you share the Word and Truth with someone today? If not, then why? Some might say it is scary to share Jesus with someone, and I would 100% agree with you. In this day and time Jesus is not the hottest trend or the most popular, if we look at being a Christian today, we are looking at the opposite. We see that most Christians are made fun of or condemned for sharing the Christ. Man has tried to take Christ out of Christmas, or Jesus out of schools, and lets not even get started on the government. Did you know that we are commanded as Christians to share the love of Christ with everyone? Matthew 28:19-20 says:
“19 So wherever you go, make disciples of all nations: Baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach them to do everything I have commanded you. And remember that I am always with you until the end of time.”
These verses are also known as the Great Commission in other words our instructions on how we are supposed to approach Christianity. Making disciples of ALL nations and teaching them everything that Jesus command us over 2 thousand years ago. How do we do this in such a cruel world? I am going to give you a few simple steps on how to share the gospel. The first and one of the most important is how you live your day-to-day life. Most non-believers will observe and listen to how Christians speak and act. Do you stand apart from the world? Something that will kill your ministry is being a hypocrite, being a Christian on Sunday and living for the world Monday through Saturday. The second step is to pray that God will place someone in your path that is not a believer (you pray this and I promise he will reveal someone). You may know someone right off the bat that is not a Christian pray for them, pray that God will soften their heart to receive his unfailing love. Lastly stay in the world and constant prayer. The closer you and I get to Christ the more He will shine in our day to day lives. People will not be able to help but to see and feel Jesus within you the closer you get to His holiness. After we have completed these steps then we are ready to share Jesus. Here are 4 easy ways to present the gospel.
Sharing the gospel is all about having faith and trust in Jesus. It kills me know that that hundreds if not thousands die daily and go to hell because we are not being the hands and feet of Christ. In a well know Casting Crowns song it says:
“But if we are the body
Why aren’t His arms reaching?
Why aren’t His hands healing?
Why aren’t His words teaching?
And if we are the body
Why aren’t His feet going?
Why is His love not showing them there is a way?
Jesus is a way”
We are the body of Christ, so let’s show it.
